Four Years of Schooling
一、培养目标The Training Objectives
本专业注重培养具备汉英及其他语种的双语教学能力，系统掌握中国语言文学、中外文化、跨文化交流与传播等方面的基础理论知识和基本技能，具备较高的发展潜能，能够胜任国内留学生教育和管理、国外孔子学院工作，在行政职能部门、外贸机构、新闻出版单位等相关企事业单位从事与语言文化传播相关工作的国际化、复合型、应用型专门人才。
This program focuses on training students who are competent to teach Chinese to speakers of other language. Students will be trained systematically in Chinese language, Chinese literature, Chinese culture, inter-culture communication and international communication. After graduation, they will not only be qualified to teach Chinese to foreign students and work in Confucius Institute all over the world, but also have the ability to handle the relevant works in executive branches, foreign trade institutions and agencies for press and publications.
二、学制The Duration of Study
本专业基本学制为4学年，并实行3－6年弹性学制。
凡依照培养方案提前修完全部课程并取得相应学分，符合毕业条件者，允许提前毕业（修业年限不得少于3年）。学生在符合有关规定的条件下，可延长在校学习期限，但不得超过两年延长期。
Usually this program will take four years of schooling, and a flexible educational system (3-6 years) is also implemented.
If you finish all the courses in this program and get required credits, you can apply for an early graduation (Your duration of study should be no less than 3 years). In conformity with the relevant provisions，you may also apply for extending your duration of study, maximum of two years.
三、学分、学时控制与分配The Credit System
课堂教学课程学分按每16学时1学分计算，实践类课程按2周1学分计算。毕业要求的总学分为160学分，其中，课程教学学分为135学分，实践教学学分为25学分；按四年基本学制计算，四学年课程教学总学时原则上控制在2500学时以内。
You can get 1credit by having 16 hours of classroom instruction，or two weeks of practice. For graduation, you need to get 160 credits in total, include 135 credits from the classroom instruction, 25 credits from the practice. In principle, you will have no more than 2,500 hours of classroom instruction in four years of schooling.
